One thing I really love about the simple portfolio site sale is that I get to make a bunch of unique portfolios for a variety of artists. Tim Paul was part of my portfolio site sale, and he came to me in the middle of it when he admitted that he had wanted to build a site on WordPress, but hadn’t gotten around to it for years. I’m excited to show you what we built together!
Tim Paul has a very particular style to his illustrations, so I wanted to have his website not outshine his works, but instead be a cohesive element to them. I figured — bold colors, sharp lines, that’ll do it. Tim Paul then sent me a piece he was using as a cover image elsewhere and it just fit so perfectly into the look and feel of the site.
I paired that with a transparent at the top, but solid when you scroll nav bar with his logo in it, and honestly I love how sharp this website looks.
Tim Paul also requested that his fantasy map illustrative portfolio have its own page that was the same but different with the styling. I was able to do this by changing the header, changing the title font, and giving the header a sort of fantasy map-esque ripped edge to it. Items on this page also don’t use the brand red, but instead a black.
I love the way this site looks and feels. Take a look for yourself by visiting TimPaulIllustrations.com!
