“Hunted” Pin Set – Part of Pintopia 2

"Hunted Dark Art Pin Set" - a wolf and a man curled up in snow side by side with arrows sticking out of them.

On my illustrative side I’m part of Pintopia 2 this year with the “Hunted” pin set! I’ll be looking towards gathering funds for a two enamel pin set. Get a dose of story, and learn about the trapping and hunting of native wolves in the United States. Some portion of proceeds go to a good cause! Backers who back this and my partner for Pintopia will also receive two special collaboration pins.

“The Grannies” Red Dead Redemption 2 Mini Documentary

Friends go on an adventure in Red Dead Online as roving pack “The Grannies.” They “break” the game by going around the invisible wall borders of the map into uncharted territory. An interesting sixteen minute watch on YouTube if you’re interested in game design and development! The players travel to decreasingly lower resolution maps and explore what’s out there.

Harnessing the power of a desert

In How the UN is Holding Back the Sahara Desert on Youtube, Andrew Millison reviews the land recovery project as part of the Great Green Wall of Africa. The efforts of this project are to help prevent the expansion of the Sahara Desert to the south.

Thomas Steeles unearths the origins of the world’s most hated font, Comic Sans

Why does everyone hate the font Comic Sans? Where does it come from? What started this massive hatred for this font? Take a look in this article detailing the when, where, why, and how. You have to purchase to read the whole thing (it’s a book!) but the beginning had me hooked for sure.

Interactive map shows user submitted queer significant points

Queeringthemap.com is an interactive user-submitted map that shows significant queer experiences based on locations. Fun to explore the various queer experiences as submitted by users ranging from people actively looking for hookups (“Any one wanna meet up here. gay m here”), to the poetic (“You were my first crush on a girl and still the strongest ever, i think. We had sleepovers where we would kiss and then you would stop and say you were straight before you kept going, and you kept coming over just to do that. i’m glad you’ve accepted who you are now. i was so afraid of pushing it but i always wish we did more.”)

This definitive book of the bizarre covers more than 2,500 monsters, ghosts, aliens, demons, cryptids, bogeymen and mythical beasts from across the world, and features over 850 incredible illustrations from a talented team of international artists.”
