Ah, hey there! It’s been a bit since my last installment of Cool Things for Cool People. But it’s about time to highlight some more cool things, and hopefully I’ve got a lot of really cool things this time around! So let’s take a look at what I have saved for you, shall we?
AI protections for text on the web via a special font
This is really interesting. I’ve seen a font in which it’s one of those it looks like one thing but it’s actually another thing, including some neat things like Ghost Font (I feel like this might trigger migraines or epilepsy in some people so I’m adding a little warning here before you click it), but ShieldFont is different. What happens is the human reader gets the normal kind of text, whereas the AI crawler gets different text, usually with words changed out, destroying the context and therefore the value of the text itself. Ever heard of Kinusaiga?
I hadn’t, not until recently. Kinusaiga is really neat and pretty simple to do. It’s a craft technique that gives a similar effect sort of like quilting (but without sewing), where you can use up scrap fabrics by “tucking” fabric into a foam design. How very cool! I can’t wait to try it out.

Watch this creator make silk feathers
I thought this was really neat. Silhouette Cosplay walks you through how they make silk feathers for a cosplay! After watching it, I’m definitely getting the itch to add some to my next sewing project.
Bodies In Motion Gives you the Reference You Need
Just discovered this neat reference photo site, Bodies In Motion. Scott Eaton has all kinds of professional level photographs of athletic bodies as they’re moving, to help artists understand movement, the body, and musculature. Not dissimilar to AdorkaStock and TruRef, but serving a different market. Bookmark this one if you’re an artist!
Espresso the call duck is living her best life
I love this absolutely wholesome video. Espresso the call duck gets picked up and moved from worm to worm on an asphalt driveway after it rained, eating up all of the worms. Well, I guess it’s not so wholesome for the worms getting eaten, but you’ll definitely smile when you see this “duckie vacuum” in full swing.
