Brief

Client needed a new site to fit some behind-the-scenes changes we were making together as part of her marketing plan. Sometime in 2019 we had begun working together to remove her pose reference gallery from a popular art site, as categorization and tagging had been removed, making it difficult to find the correct poses for end users. We began building and filling a WordPress site with the pose references, tagging and categorizing them, and began implementing galleries and a basic search. We encouraged email signups on site by placing a newsletter signup form, allowing people to receive digests weekly or monthly about new poses (or for art challenges as well as basic news and updates). We also rolled an additional blogging site's content into the blog at AdorkaStock.com sometime in 2024-2025. Since the original website was built to support a timed sketching app and basic landing pages, we had significantly outgrown the original design's use case.

I put together a new design for AdorkaStock.com which implemented marketing and branding assets we had been using since spring 2024, including the scribble effect and neon borders. I removed reliance on a page builder and used WordPress native functionalities to achieve page designs. We completely reorganized the way poses display (pagination), and implemented paid packs, which link off site to where people can buy them, as a part of relevant results, while also clearly showing these packs are paid. We also rolled out a pose favoriting system, repaired the bug report form, restructured the mega menu, build a fresh landing page to capture new patrons, implemented self-serve ad spaces (once limited to Sketch app, now site wide) to advertise AdorkaStock related packs and merch, and completely replaced the search functionality. Additionally, I built in an ability to categorize by model and categorized all existing poses with appropriate models to allow people to filter by model.
